Esrah van Rooij has been working as an artist for several years. She has developed her own style and colour palette. Effectively, she paints the things she is interested in; Tintin, Captain Haddock, Ali B and other characters from the world of comics and media. In 2015/2016, she participated in an international video project with organisations from Brighton (UK) and Cork (Irl). She then made the very personal film ‘My feelings’. In this film, she uses self-painted signs to show the emotions within her. She is also affiliated with Theatre LeBelle of Cordaan and has participated in several performances.
