Christian Faber is passionate about anime, and this is clearly reflected in his work. He combines characters and worlds from contemporary pop culture and uses them to create entirely new universes. At times, he also portrays himself alongside these figures, becoming part of the other world he has imagined.
Christian is the one in control of all these characters, making them do whatever he invents, like a true puppetmaster. He has been working at the atelier since 2023 and continues to expand his oeuvre with paintings, including animals he has seen in real life during a distant trip, such as a large, colourful iguana.
These works also feature cartoon-like backgrounds and a sense of spectacle, highly vivid and sometimes with a darker edge. In addition, Christian makes music that matches the atmosphere of his paintings.
