Wieno draws and paints imaginary, fairy-tale worlds populated by birds and other animals. He has been drawing since he was young and started by copying Disney characters. Later, these became more fantasy figures. Recurring elements in his work are clocks, crystals and musical instruments. Wieno is inspired by amusement parks and dreams of a job as an architect for the Efteling. His work often features wolves with Japanese hairstyles and kimonos. He also uses different types of materials such as textiles and glitter pens. Wieno believes it is important that art can be seen everywhere on the streets, not just in museums. He himself says he still prefers going to amusement parks rather than museums.
